Moving up a gear and changing name

Rekyl Reklambyrå in Borås is expanding and refocusing its business direction – and changing name to Brainforest.

Since starting out in 1996 we have been working with communication and the production of advertising projects both large and small. Now it feels relevant and important for us to take the next step in our evolution in order to continue to help our customers to develop in a constantly changing market.

“It’s our way of enabling our customers to adopt a truly sustainable approach to meeting the changes that tomorrow holds. So we’re moving up a gear – from advertising agency to strategic communication partner. And we’re using this as an opportunity to change our name from Rekyl to Brainforest,” says Peter Algebäck, CEO of Brainforest.

Over the course of the past year the agency has upgraded its customer offer in numerous ways.

“We’ve added business design, brand strategy and trend innovation management to our portfolio of services, and we’ve expanded and strengthened our core competence in strategic communication,” Algebäck explains. He is also eager to underline the fact that the change from Rekyl to Brainforest represents much more than merely a new name.

“It’s our way of letting the world know that we now have a much broader customer offer. We are committed to fusing business logic with communication magic, to make certain that our customers derive the greatest possible benefit from an ever-changing market in a world without borders.”

 

Sustainable relationships support development

Algebäck points out that Brainforest’s task is to create loyal supporters for its customers’ brands.

“Building a brand is no longer merely a matter of selling. It is about creating the best possible environment in which our customers’ customers can develop. The trust that this ultimately engenders leads to sustainable relationships from which the company behind the brand is able to reap long-term benefits.”

To smooth the transition from traditional advertising agency to strategic communication partner, Brainforest has developed a unique evolutionary model.

“This evolutionary model has been designed to provide systematic support for customers with everything from business development and product development to brand building and – of course – targeted communication,” Algebäck explains.

However, this new direction does not mean that Brainforest will be looking for a new home. The company’s head office will continue to be located in Borås, close to Sweden’s second city of Gothenburg.

“For all of us at Brainforest, our heart has always been here in Borås. We believe that it is important to continue to acknowledge our origins and our heritage, and to remain at the hub of the market that has sustained our growth,” says Algebäck, and adds that – like many other companies in Borås – Brainforest draws strength from an environment where it is able to grow organically together with its customers.

“We see the whole of Sweden as our workplace, as well as parts of northern Europe – and we are considering establishing a presence in several other locations,” Algebäck concludes.
